Center for the Performing Arts

The big-ticket benefit with David Hyde Pierce and Michael Feinstein is next week. This week, it’s no-ticket events for people who want to take a look and give a listen to the new Tarkington Theatre at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.

These “tuning” concerts include a Thursday event staged by the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (while free, you’ll need to make a reservation for this one), a Saturday Kids Day featuring Iibada Dance Company, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and more, and a July 31 open house and ribbon cutting, which will include the Indy Irish Dancers, Indiana University Summer Concert Band, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre (formerly Indianapolis Civic Theatre) and Actors Theatre of Indiana.
