Timmy Foundation changes name to reflect global reach

The Timmy Foundation has changed its name to Timmy Global Health.

The Indianapolis-based organization works with health care partners in Ecuador, Guatemala and Nigeria.

“The name change to Timmy Global Health reflects the growth in both the quantity and quality of our services,” founder and President Dr. Chuck Dietzen said.

Dietzen started the charity in 1997 and named it after his older brother.

Timmy Global Health has grown its budget from about $750,000 in 2009 to more than $1 million. In that time, it has doubled the number of student chapters that support international partners and more than doubled the number of international medical teams that volunteer abroad.
