A southern Indiana amusement park will mark its 65th anniversary by unveiling plans for a $9 million ride that will be the most expensive in the park's history.
But officials at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus are keeping visitors guessing about the new attraction until they announce it Wednesday.
Spokeswoman Paula Werne tells the Evansville Courier & Press that construction will begin in August and is expected to be completed before the 2012 season.
The park's Facebook site has generated hundreds of guesses about the ride. They range from a steel roller coaster to a petting zoo.
The park about 35 miles east of Evansville features roller coasters, wave pools, lazy rivers, water slides and children's areas. It drew a record 1.18 million visitors last year.
