Truck accident snarls traffic

A road grader fell off its trailer Tuesday after it hit the Virginia Avenue overpass on Interstate 65 in Indianapolis, clogging traffic during the afternoon rush. The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Crews worked for hours to clean up fuel that spilled from the grader, closing several lanes. The driver, who was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, received two driving infractions. The bridge was not structurally damaged but the grader left gouges in the road that must be repaired.
