An elementary school in Indianapolis will be closed for at least a day after a fire damaged its roof. Firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof when they arrived Wednesday evening at the Indianapolis Public Schools building on the city's north side. Crews kept the fire contained to the roof, but the building suffered some interior water damage. Several people inside IPS School 48 when the fire broke out escaped without any injuries. The fire's cause wasn't immediately determined.
