The Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre (formerly Indianapolis Civic Theatre) offers the local premiere of a Tony winner that skipped Indy on its national tour. With plenty of room for splashy song-and-dance numbers, the story focuses on a non-singing character, The Man in Chair, who escapes his personal sadness through listening to a rare recording of a 1920s musical—which comes to life around him.
