Two children died in the Indianapolis area Monday night in separate incidents after they were struck by vehicles. A 2-year-old boy wandering in the road was killed when he was struck by a van at State Road 32 and Eagle Town Road in Hamilton County. Police were still determining why the boy was unsupervised. Meanwhile, 7-year-old Yair Agapito was attending a birthday party when he ran in front of a car about 6:45 p.m. in the 5500 block of Floating Leaf Drive on the southeast side of Indianapolis. The driver’s view of the boy might have been obstructed by parked cars, police said.
