Body found by south-side motel

Indianapolis police are awaiting autopsy results on a body discovered late Thursday night in a parking lot north of Thompson Road and South East Street on the city’s south side. The body of Dinesh Patel, 31, was found next to a trash dumpster behind the Travelodge motel. Police said Patel, believed to be the manager of the hotel, didn’t appear to have gunshot or stab wounds, but there was some blood at the scene. They said his body may have been moved to the location after he died.
