Two men were taken to jail after a police chase downtown early Sunday morning. Police tried to pull over an SUV that had been reported stolen about 2 a.m., but the driver took off, reaching speeds up to 70 mph before hitting a tree in the area of Michigan and Illinois streets. Two men and a woman tried to escape on foot. The woman fell and was injured. She was taken to the hospital. Police caught Tracey Dunlop and Kehmian Smith a short time later.
