June 15, 2009

Indiana Members Credit Union, the metro area's second-largest credit union, has acquired Marsh Employees Federal Credit Union.

Founded in 1956 as the Indiana University Medical Center Federal Credit Union on the campus of IUPUI, Indiana Members had $1.2 billion in assets on its own. Chartered two years later, Marsh Employees had $13 million in assets. Together, they have 25 branches in central Indiana. Marsh Employees has 4,800 members. Indiana Members has nearly 100,000.

Marsh Employees Manager Dave Havens will become branch manager of the combined credit union's Fishers location at 8980 Technology Drive.

Indiana Members CEO Ron Collier said his credit union is pleased to add Marsh Employees to its family.

"Their success can be attributed to their commitment to offer quality products and services to members, and it mirrors our vision and culture with our members," he said.
