Franciscan St. Francis Hospice is seeking volunteers who live in the Mooresville and Martinsville area to visit hospice patients, offering respite and or companionship. Volunteers must be 18 or older and willing to commit to four hours a week for six months. They must complete a hospital volunteer application process and attend orientation. Corporate Philanthropy
Telamon Corp. gave the $5,000 it received as the grand-prize winner in the United Way of Central Indiana’s Give Gleefully video competition to Second Helpings Inc. Visiting Nurse Service Inc. received $1,000 won by the company in an earlier competition.

FirstPerson donated $3,000 to both the Special Olympics and the United Way of Central Indiana in honor of attendees at the Dec. 9 CFO of the Year awards presented by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

In Recognition
Heather Robison was named Boone County Realtor of the Year and Shannon Lindley was named Boone County Affiliate of the Year by the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors.

Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel received the Applause Award as 2011 business of the year; Harold Kaiser received the Harold Kaiser Award for Lifetime Achievement; Beth Smietana was named Most Valuable Volunteer; PFM Automotive Group and Pedcor Cos. received Look Awards, and Carmel Green Teen Micro-Grant Program received the Carmel Green Award, all from the Carmel Chamber of Commerce.
