Subscribe NowA 65-year-old man died Monday morning after he lost control of his vehicle and drove into a Greenwood retention pond. Witnesses called 911 and tried to help the man trapped in the vehicle in the pond near East Stop 11 Road and South Arlington Avenue. Rescue crews eventually freed the unconscious man, but he was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital.
