Welcome to the 20th annual Forty Under 40, one of Indianapolis Business Journal's most popular and talked-about features.
Over the years, we've averaged more than 200 nominations annually and this year asked our selection committee to evaluate nearly 250 applications. Criteria included the level of success nominees have achieved in their chosen field, their accomplishments in the community and the likelihood that they will stay in Indianapolis and build on those achievements.
We asked each members of our 2012 class to sit for video interviews and wax nostalgic: What were they doing in 1992? Did they know what they’d become some 20 years later? Then we looked to the future, asking them to weigh in on the issues in Indianapolis that need the most attention.
