Indianapolis-based Scopelitis Garvin Light Hanson & Feary has opened a law office in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The office is the firm’s ninth across the country. Outside Indianapolis, it has locations in Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., in addition to Chattanooga, Tenn., and Spokane, Wash.
The Dallas-Fort Worth office will be staffed by two lawyers, giving clients in the Southwest market access to the firm’s national base of transportation lawyers, the firm said.
Scopelitis serves the trucking, transportation and logistics industries by providing expertise in business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, insurance law and Worker’s Compensation, as well as other practice areas.
Founded in Indianapolis in 1978, the firm has 38 local attorneys, ranking it as the city’s 10th-largest, according to IBJ statistics.
Scopelitis serves more than 4,000 transportation-related companies nationwide, including Dean Foods, FedEx and Schneider National Inc.
