Greenfield-base Gas America Services Inc. said Saturday that it will be acquired by Speedway LLC of Enon, Ohio. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The vast majority of the 88 convenience stores operated by Gas America will be converted to Speedway convenience stores, Speedway said. Gas America had locations throughout Indiana and in parts of Ohio. Several undeveloped parcels of land also are included in the deal.

"These stores will be an outstanding addition to the Speedway brand, Speedway President Tony Kenney said in a prepared statement. "They are very well-managed stores that will compliment our existing network, allowing us to better serve customers in our Indiana and Ohio markets."

Speedway, which has 1,375 locations in seven Midwestern states, is owned by Marathon Petroleum Corp., headquartered in Findlay, Ohio.

The sale is expected to close in May.
