Indianapolis Early Music Festival

Through July 15

Basile Theatre, Indiana History Center

The Indianapolis Early Music Festival has been around a long time—46 years. But not nearly as long as the tunes it plays, which can go back to the year 900. This year’s festival, already in progress, includes Gut, Wind & Wire and The Catatoustic Consort June 29 (and a free family concert June 30); East of the River July 1; Vittorio Gheilmi and Luca Pianca July 13; and Hesperus, whose July 14 performance accompanies a screening of the Douglas Fairbanks film “Robin Hood.” Details here.
