Simon earnings



Simon said it expects to report net income between $4.34 and $4.44 per share for the period ending Dec. 31, 2012, and funds from operations of $7.60 to $7.70.

In its earning report, the company also noted that it paid the retailer J.C. Penney about $248 million to redeem the chain's partnership stake in the mall giant.
