Thousands still without power

At least 3,200 Indianapolis Power & Light customers were still without electricity Monday morning, a day after Sunday’s pre-dawn storm swept through the north side, bringing down trees and power lines. At the height of the outage, 32,000 customers were without power. Some local retailers operated on a cash-only basis Sunday because their cash registers didn’t work. IPL said numerous utilities are helping with repairs.
