The blaze broke out about 2:30 a.m. in a vacant house near West 28th Street and Indianapolis Avenue. It took almost 45 minutes to contain the fire, which caused an estimated $70,000 in damages. The injured firefighter suffered chest pain and dizziness. Arson investigators are examining the scene.
