James Knapp was found bleeding from his head, arm and leg on the trail near 21st Street and Winthrop Avenue on the city's near-north side just after noon Sunday. A security officer working for a nearby church said he saw three teenage boys riding bikes away from the scene in a hurry. The victim was dazed by the attack and wasn’t sure if anything had been stolen from him.
