Firefighters from Hamilton and Boone counties worked for hours to extinguish an overnight blaze north of Indianapolis. The fire, in the 14600 block of Little Eagle Creek Avenue, near West 146th Street and U.S. 421, caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to a home. A homeowner escaped without injuries.
