Logan Stafford, the 19-year-old son of Fortville Clerk-Treasurer Marcie Stafford, died Thursday afternoon after he drove his car into the path of an Indiana Department of Transportation dump truck. A witness said Stafford ran a stop sign at State Road 9 and County Road 100 North near Maxwell in Hancock County. Truck driver Myron Matlock, of Knightstown, was not injured.
