Subscribe NowA car plunged from an Interstate 70 ramp to a street below on the east side of Indianapolis on Thursday, killing the driver and prompting the closure of all lanes during the morning commuter rush. Police say the car hit a utility pole along Shadeland Avenue after it left I-70 and landed on its roof. Lanes were closed from about 6:10 a.m. until after 8 a.m., causing long traffic backups.
