Denny’s robbery suspect captured

Indianapolis police spent nearly two hours tracking down a man who they say robbed a south-side Denny’s restaurant about 3:15 Tuesday morning. Police said the suspect threatened workers with a weapon resembling a tire iron and took a cash register before fleeing the restaurant near South Keystone Avenue and Interstate 65 in a stolen blue van. The suspect crashed the van about 4 a.m. near Raymond Street and I-65 while being pursued and took off on foot. He was captured an hour later about six blocks from the crash scene.
