A semi driver was injured Friday morning when his truck tipped onto its side on northbound Interstate 465 just north of the Interstate 74 interchange. Capt. Dave Bursten with the Indiana State Police said it appeared the driver didn’t fully secure the 44,000 pounds of lead bars he was hauling. When the truck came around the ramp off I-74, the bars started to shift, causing the driver to lose control and the truck to tip. No other vehicle was involved in the accident. Bursten said emergency responders would keep one lane of I-465 closed until they offload the semi.
