Gasoline prices are at nearly $4 a gallon in many metropolitan areas in Indiana, with a high of $4.07 a gallon in Gary. AAA said Indiana’s average for a gallon of regular unleaded was $3.95 a gallon Monday, up 19 cents in a week. The average cost for a gallon of gas was $3.99 in South Bend and Bloomington, $3.98 in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, and $3.97 in Terre Haute. AAA reports gasoline-supply problems should ease over the next month as some refinery maintenance ends.
