Pence urges vets to register businesses with state

Gov. Mike Pence wants the state of Indiana to do more business with military veterans.

Pence said that beginning July 1, the state will implement a goal to contract 3 percent of its work with veteran-owned small businesses. He's encouraging veterans now to register their companies with the state.

A new law requires the Indiana Department of Administration to procure at least 3 percent of state contracts with veteran-owned small businesses.

Pence says veteran-owned businesses that are not registered with agency should go to this website to become registered vendors.
