Police say they tracked down suspect Brent Walls, 21, at about 2:30 a.m. in an alley south of Garfield Park after he fired a shot though a car window during a failed carjacking in a driveway in the 2500 block of Shelby Street. Walls, police say, pointed a gun at an officer before being shot.
