Subscribe NowSchool was canceled at Mill Creek Community Schools in Clayton on Monday after burglars broke into a gated lot where buses are kept and stole 17 batteries worth about $130 each. The thieves also cut and destroyed the cables that connect the batteries. The Hendricks County school with about 1,500 students plans to resume classes Tuesday.
