Subscribe NowA Carmel police officer assigned to the Metro Drug Task Force fatally shot a suspect during a raid on the west side of Indianapolis early Thursday. The shooting took place at 6:05 a.m. at Westlake Apartments, south of 10th Street and west of Lynhurst Drive. The names of the suspect and the officer were not released. Investigators say the suspect pointed his gun at officers before being shot. The raid was part of a long-term investigation into marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine dealing.
