A female pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run incident Monday at about 6:30 a.m. when a red van struck her while she was crossing North High School Road at West 34th Street. Indianapolis police say the van stopped briefly before taking off. The woman was conscious after being hit and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
