Greenwood to put barriers around ponds

Greenwood hopes to make 13 retention ponds safer by putting guardrails or barriers around them. The city plans to leverage federal funding to pay for about 90 percent of the $226,000 project. Bids will go out in January and construction is expected to begin next spring.
