Scopelitis Garvin Light Hanson & Feary has opened law offices in Philadelphia and neighboring Mount Ephraim, N.J.

The local law firm, which now boasts 11 offices nationwide, serves the trucking, transportation and logistics industries.

Joining Scopelitis to provide counsel from the two offices is Thomas E. O’Donnell. He previously was in-house counsel for two major carriers in New Jersey.

“We’ve noticed over the years a need for seasoned transportation attorneys in the Philadelphia area,” Greg Feary, the firm’s president, said in a statement. “Tom’s joining us there gives us a valuable resource in the northeast corridor, a key area for our transportation clients.”

Scopelitis also has offices in Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., in addition to Chattanooga, Tenn.; Fort Worth, Texas; and Spokane, Wash.

With 39 local attorneys, Scopelitis is the 10th-largest law firm in Indianapolis, according to the most recent IBJ statistics.
