Local industrial vacancy rates slide-WEB ONLY

Indianapolis-area industrial real estate vacancy rates dipped to 7 percent in the first quarter on limited market activity, according to a report issued today by Colliers Turley Martin Tucker. The vacancy rate fell from 7.4 percent at the end of 2008 and from 7.8 percent a year ago. Only 410,00 square feet of space was absorbed during the quarter and just 576,000 square feet of space was constructed, all in the southwest market.
