Fusion Alliance Inc., the area's largest website developer and second-largest software firm, has merged with an Ohio-based technology consulting firm.

The merger of Indianapolis-based Fusion and Columbus-based Quick Solutions Inc. forms a company with 550 employees and annual revenue of $75 million.

Company officials said the two businesses combined their assets, with no cash changing hands. The firms plan to maintain their local offices, employees and brands.

Quick Solutions LLC is now a subsidiary of a new Indianapolis company, Fusion Alliance Holdings Inc.

Founded in 1994, Fusion Alliance has about 350 employees, with about 300 of those in Indianapolis and 50 at an office in Cincinnati.

With 273 full-time developers, Fusion is the largest website developer in the Indianapolis area, according to IBJ research. And, with 246 fulltime software engineers and programmers, it ranks No. 2 among local software firms.

Founded in 1991, Quick Solutions is one of the largest privately held information technology consulting firms in Ohio. It has about 200 employees.

Fusion officials said the merger will help the companies "expand their service offerings and allow for broader penetration into regional and national markets."

Fusion CEO Doug Brown and Chief Operating Officer Tom Wood have become partners in the firm along with Quick CEO Tom Campbell and President Rick Mariotti.

Campbell told Columbus Business First that the company plans to make more acquisitions and grow annual revenue to $100 million in the next five years.
