It’s opening day for the Indianapolis 500. Gates at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway opened at 9 a.m. Rookie orientation runs until 2 p.m. and practice from 2-6 p.m. Admission is $5, with children 5 and under free. The Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for May 24.
