Man accused in Lawrence murder makes first court appearance-WEB ONLY

A Lawrence man accused of killing his estranged wife, a mother of six, made his initial court appearance this morning. Michael Yang, 52, has maintained his innocence, saying he was with a co-worker last Wednesday when Amenda Yang was murdered. According to court documents, the co-worker did not confirm Yang’s alibi. Prosecutors expect to file formal charges today or tomorrow.
