The price of a first-class postage stamp climbed 2 cents today, to 44 cents, and several other postal rates also rose. It’s the third straight year rates have gone up. Other increases that went into effect today: Postcard stamps rose 1 cent, to 28 cents; the first ounce of a large envelope rose 5 cents, to 88 cents; and the first ounce of a parcel increased 5 cents, to $1.22.
