Police have issued a safety alert after a central Indiana man was shot with a pellet gun over the weekend while walking the Monon Trail near the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The victim said four young boys approached him, and one of the boys shot him in the stomach. Indy Parks officials are urging people who plan to use the trail this summer to travel in groups and avoid using the trail after dusk.
