Indiana lawmakers will get a new look at the state’s finances today as they prepare for a special budget-writing legislative session in June. The State Budget Committee is slated to get a revised revenue forecast from a bipartisan group of fiscal analysts. A forecast released in April missed the mark by $255 million for revenue that same month. Lawmakers hope the revised forecast will shed more accurate light on the state’s financial situation. Gov. Mitch Daniels could use the new forecast to prepare his proposed budget, which is expected June 1.
