Salin taps banking veteran to lead wealth management

Indianapolis-based Salin Bank promoted John W. Coughlin, a 25-year-veteran of several Indianapolis banks, to wealth management market president.

When he joined the bank last August, Coughlin was director of business development in its wealth management group. In his new role, he will drive the bank’s investment, retirement, trust and estate, and insurance services strategies.

Coughlin kicked off his career in financial services at Charles Schwab in 1989, according to his LinkedIn profile. He jumped to National City Bank in 1999, followed by Old National Bank in 2002, and, later, Regions Bank and First Financial Bank.•
