The president and CEO of Muncie-based Ontario Systems said the company is in good financial shape and that the layoffs made yesterday were part of a realignment.
Tony Reisz told The Muncie Star Press the layoffs differed from the larger jobs cut in December, which were done to reduce costs.
He said the company has added 40 employees since January and that 20 workers also received new duties this week. The company has about 400 employees.
