Starting today, new Indiana drivers under the age of 18 won’t be able to talk or text while driving. The restriction is just one of several state laws that go into effect today. The Silver Alert law, modeled after the Amber Alert, creates a system to help locate missing seniors. In addition, homeowners and lenders will be required to meet before a bank can foreclose on homes, and people who commit fetal homicide or try to murder a pregnant woman will face tougher penalties.
