Indiana University could offer the nation’s first bachelor’s degree in health data science. The school’s board of trustees has approved the proposed degree, as well as a master’s degree in anesthesia.

They are now eligible for final approval by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

IUPUI’s Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health will offer the health data science degree in partnership with the Department of Computer and Information Science and the IU School of Informatics and Computing.•
