BarkleySimon Property Group Inc. General Counsel Jim Barkley, a 38-year company veteran, will retire in January and be succeeded by Assistant General Counsel Steve Fivel.
FivelBarkley will continue to work with the company on an of-counsel basis, reporting directly to CEO David Simon.
Fivel also is a company veteran. He worked in various legal capacities for Simon from 1988 until 1997, when he joined locally based BrightPoint Inc. as general counsel. He returned to Simon in 2011.•
