Delaware County Airport is ripe for intense economic development instead of just continuing to rent land to farmers, President Dr. C. Kurt Alexander told commissioners Tuesday. The airport can look to Elkhart, Goshen and Fort Wayne for inspiration in turning airports into economic development tools, Alexander said.
Michael Lynn has been hired to replace 91-year-old Carl Simmons, the manager for 35 years, according to The Star-Press of Muncie. Lynn was deputy director of operations and maintenance at Capital City Airport in Lansing, Mich.
