Lilly’s Taurel paid $15.2M in 2006

Sidney Taurel, CEO of Eli Lilly and Co., earned $15.2 million in salary, stock and other compensation in 2006, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

On top of a base salary of $1.6 million, Taurel received a bonus of $2.8 million and $9.2 million in stock awards and options. Other compensation included $91,069 for using a company airplane and expenses related to his wife’s attending board functions.

Taurel’s total compensation was up from $11.9 million the previous year. Lilly President John Lechlieter received $11.3 million in total compensation, up from $6.1 million the previous year.
