Indianapolis Motor Speedway has hired Hardcard Holdings, a consulting firm specializing in motorcycle races, the speedway said today.
“The Speedway has been looking at hosting a motorcycle event for some time, and we continue to be enthusiastic about the prospects,” IMS President Joie Chitwood said in a statement. “Hardcard will advise and consult with the Speedway as we continue to pursue and devise plans for this exciting opportunity.”
The Speedway added a NASCAR race now called the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in 1994, and the U.S. Grand Prix in 2000.
