The owner of historic StoryInn fears BrownCounty will suffer from competition from French Lick Resort Casino and West Baden Springs Hotel, which is slated to open this summer an hour’s drive south.
Rick Hofstetter told the Brown County Democrat that the OrangeCounty attractions might attract Indianapolis, Louisville and Cincinnati tourists who otherwise would travel to the Nashville area.
"People aren’t going to beat a path to BrownCounty if they have a choice," said Hofstetter, who also is a member of the Brown County Convention and Tourism Commission.
