Daniels traveling to New Castle for ‘major’ announcement

Gov. Mitch Daniels will join officials of TS Tech tomorrow afternoon in New Castle to make a “major jobs announcement,” according to Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The Japanese auto parts supplier will supply seats to the Honda Motor Co. assembly plant under construction in Greensburg, between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, said New Castle Mayor Tom Nipp.

Three-hundred jobs are expected to be announced.

However, Nipp said last week that he anticipates the company building to about 900 jobs within two years. “There’s no reason to think this won’t be successful,” he said at the time.
